In the record 2,068 people have a doctoral thesis here that names its supervisor. 315 of them were later named a supervisor: 284 here and 60 at another school, 29 of them at both.

A person is followed from the school of their own doctoral thesis to each school where the record names them the supervisor of a doctoral thesis defended in a later year, within one source: someone who went on to a school another source holds is not counted, and neither is anyone whose own thesis the record does not hold, or holds with no supervisor named. A person is one spelling of a name in a source, so two people of one name count as one. Two names are one school only where ROR, the open register of research organisations, holds them as one, or a join checked by hand says so: a school renamed or merged counts as the school it became, and any other name stands alone. Most doctors are never named a supervisor in the record. That is where the record stops, not where they went.
